About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Science Liaison(MSL) Manager who is willing to coach and lead a team striving for field excellence in execution. As the MSL manager, you will primarily coach and manage a team of field medical associates who are responsible for implementing locally the medical strategy with external stakeholders.
You will also collaborate with cross functional stakeholders within the Therapeutic Area to optimize the brand strategy, while also working with other MSL managers and the Field Medical Excellence Lead to streamline field execution processes.
This role will work directly with the Field Medical Team and Field Medical Leadership Team and reports to the Medical Director.
About the Role
As an MSL Manager your main responsibilities will consist of the following:
- Coach and lead a high-quality and high-performing medical team of Field Medical associates (MSLs)
- Be responsible for team recruiting, on-board training, MSL field scientific work coaching, management and performance evaluation of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) team
- Coordinate the collection and reporting of insights that may impact Novartis plans and strategy
- Coach MSLs to develop and execute ME engagement plans to effectively prioritize and strategically engage MEs aligned with country strategy.
- Oversee appropriate identification/mapping of MEs/ Key Accounts including identification of opportunities to involve MEs when a specific medical need is identified
- Serve as an interface between related therapeutic area team and other functions.
- Support and contribute to Medical Affairs’ objectives.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential:
- M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm D
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Pharma industry experience.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Experience
- Team management & leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Bilingualism (English and French).
- Excellent knowledge of assigned therapeutic area (cardio-renal-metabolic)
- Preferable location in Ontario or Quebec
