About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Owns and drives the development, compilation, communication and implementation of the overall strategic plan for Development India together with the Head of Development India and LT members in alignment of the overall Development strategy.
- Drives the development and manages the execution of high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for projects.
- Actively contribute to the relevant Strategic Forums. Act as active, viable and trustful liaison for other LFs Head of Strategy and Operations / Head Strategy and Portfolio Management to exchange strategic priorities, while ensuring full alignment of the LF individual strategies and the Development India strategy. Engage also with strategy leads outside the Division and stakeholders where appropriate.
- Be a full member of the Development India leadership team. Chair and actively participate in the relevant leadership meetings and annual strategy offsite meetings.
- Drive the strategic aspects in the external branding and engagement in close collaboration with relevant Business leads, while actively collaborate and leverage synergies with other line functions, within and outside Development.
- Drives operational performance by creating, defining, implementing and managing meaningful KPIs and business metrics for Development India teams and be a valuable support for delivering high quality monthly reporting.
- Act as business partner for the Head Development India and be a trustful business partner to provide support and advice on strategic matters and special projects. May deputize for the Head Development India in different networks, forums (external/internal), in particular but not limited to strategic projects.
What you will bring to the role:
- Accountable for designing, executing and communicating the defined Development India strategy and vision in close partnership with the key local and global stakeholders
- Active support of the project portfolio & strategy (internal & external focus)
- Successfully leading strategic initiatives
- Active involvement in driving operational excellence and productivity
- Strategic role with high visibility and impact on global scale. Interfaces with key global and local stakeholders within and outside the Development Division
- >8-10 years of experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, preferably with strategy and operations consulting background
- Broad understanding and background of development and/or technical operations environments.
- Leadership experience in the delivery of complex programs and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, networking and strategic partnering skills
- Proven track record to effectively work in interfaces and matrix organizations
- Self-driven, highly autonomous workstyle
- Energetic, can-do attitude
- Result driven
- Inclusiveness and high collaborative spirit
- Proven track record in strategic initiatives.
- Experience in management change (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills coupled with scientific/technical understanding
